The Stoneflair Bamburgh Mill Small Circle Pack is a fine product for the enhancement of any garden, made up of several rings and a central stone that slot in like puzzle pieces without much hassle, yet look like the stones were individually hauled from their quarries and painstakingly laid out in your backyard. Certainly, these paving materials boast durability, thanks to the natural qualities of stone and the ingenious cutting and sealing that the manufacturers have achieved. With the Minster Green colour scheme, they also present an understated attractiveness, that masterfully complements any adjacent foliage, looking as if a bit of the plants themselves have seeped into the stone.
The small circle kit has 24 pieces and a finished circle diameter of approx. 2.2 metres. A separate squaring off kit is also available to integrate the circle into a paving area.
Update: Stoneflair Rivenstone has been discontinued, sorry.
If you’ve always admired the appearance and feel of natural stone paving but aren’t willing to spend all that money and painstaking effort to assemble one of your own in your backyard, the Stoneflair Rivenstone Circle Paving Pack may just be the answer to all of your needs. Featuring several interlocking pieces that form a circular pattern, this kit can be laid out easily as prescribed with a day of decent work, and even comes with squaring pieces so it can be added to existing pavement. It will certainly look like professional stonemasons slaved away in your garden, but only you will know how the lovely golden stones fit together so perfectly to make a lovely patio.
The completed square is 2.7 metres by 2.7 metres and covers an area of 7.3 square metres.
Since a change in 2011, The Milldale range has been reduced to just Weathered Cotswold and Desert Sand. In addition, large (3-ring) circles and octagons are no longer being made. So, if you’re looking for a large circle, we suggest the Sandstone ones in Sunset Buff or Fossil Buff ones. If you’re looking for an octagon, check out the Fossil Buff, all of which are available to see on this page.

In a delightful twist from more conventional paving treatments, the Stoneflair Purestone Sandstone Antique Cragside/Glendale Spinning Circle Kit utilizes blocks from both the Cragside and Glendale tone and texture schemes to produce a veritable work of pavement art in the middle of your garden.
The combination of the charcoal Cragside and the dusky brown of Glendale, when applied to a pattern of swirling blocks, transforms a typical paving circle into a dynamic design that almost appears to be moving. This elegant formation is, of course, no less sturdy against the elements, and provides a permanent fixture for the pleasure of both your household and your guests.
Slate has been dropped as a circle choice for 2011 by Bradstones. Sorry for any inconvenience.
The colour of gold has timelessly stood for elegance and prosperity, such that objects that are even tinged with this precious metal are looked upon with more respect and appreciation. The Stoneflair Purestone Rustic Gold Pack takes advantage of this fact, combining gold tones with dark gray foundations, and overlaying them with a smoky white finish. The overall effect is a joy to behold, giving the impression that the stone paving is actually gold-lined rock that has withstood the ravages of age. This is all the more delightful when one considers the simplicity of the stonework assembly, and the relatively cheap price of the entire product. The finished circle has a diameter of 2.46 metres.

Though stone is one of the world’s oldest building materials, the colours and textures that one selects can make for a very sleek, modern-looking patio instead of a paving that evokes images of old world cobblestones. This is exactly the effect you will achieve with the Stoneflair Purestone Blue-Black Slate Pack, which intersperses cool blue stone pieces with shiny charcoal gray to black slabs for a subtle contrast that also flows visually. The entire arrangement is also smoothly finished on its surface to further bring the stonework more in tune to the look of modern buildings. The overall effect is quite impressive, and adds a lot of class to any outdoor space.
The finished circle has a diameter of 2.46 metres and a squaring off kit is available.
Bradstone no longer make Octagons and specialist circles, and Wickes don’t offer any either. We’re trying to source others, but, until then, this page should be considered historic, for if you wish to find these designs on eBay or at local builder’s merchants.
An Octagon makes a striking addition to a patio or a standalone feature for a garden. We’ve sourced one Octagon pack from Bradstone, and several more from Wickes. We’ve also included the Octagons that are no longer available from Bradstone at the bottom of the page for if you’d like to search builder’s yards for them! 🙂
Slightly different from the typical paving circle designs, the Bradstone Natural Sandstone Fossil Buff Octagon Kit is an interesting departure from conventional arrangements, with a more rigid structure that may appeal to certain people instead of the traditional curves of circle-based kits.
Of course, the finely worked and coloured stones used mean that you will receive the same high quality of appearance and durability as with other products from this manufacturer, and be the recipient of equal praise from your impressed neighbours and friends.
After reducing their range, this is the only Octagon kit available from Bradstone. Previously they offered octagon kits in many different types of stone. I’ve included a list at the bottom of the page, just in case you want to try hunting for them, online or offline. 🙂
The Octagon feature consists of 33 separate stones, is 2.5 metres along each side and covers a squared off area of 6.25 metres. The natural sandstone octagon kit is only available in this fossil buff finish.
Octagon Kits From Wickes
Wickes offers a range of Octagon kits, which we think are actually made and supplied by Marshalls. The Wickes Octagons, or “Octant Kits” as they call them, are made from textured and coloured concrete stones. The paving stones have multiple different face profiles taken from hand-crafted moulds cast from genine riven sandstone to mimic the look of natural stone. The final dimensions of the Octagon are 2.39 metres in length and width and 35mm in depth. The kit contains a centre stone, 16 corner kites and eight infils.
There are two versions of their “Buxton” range, the “Buff” finish and the “Charcoal” finish…
As well as two from their “Heritage” range, one in “Weathered Yorkstone”, and one in “Yorkstone”…
Finally, there’s a striking “Wentworth” octagon in “Calder Brown” finish…
Bradstone and Stoneflair Octagon Paving Kits no longer available.
Just in case you want to look for them on eBay or a builder’s merchant (or they bring them back!), here are the old octagon kits that were produced under the Bradstone and Stoneflair names…
The circular paving pattern is eternally popular among garden designers both amateur and professional, but for those who wish to go against the grain, the Stoneflair Purestone Sandstone Antique Fieldmoor Octagon Kit is a fine choice.
Although the octagon shape does not deviate substantially from the general symmetry of circular paving, the sharper edges and heavier lines give your patio a more robust, contemporary feel. In addition, the stones themselves are quarried and selected based on their toughness against wear and tear as well as their natural beauty. This translates into a paving design that should last you quite a number of years, serving you well as a focus of tranquility and relaxation.
Shown above are the actual paving stones (left), and the octagon kit pattern (right) so that you can see the beauty of the stones and also the pattern that the kit will create in your garden or as part of your patio.
An interesting departure from the conventional circle paving design, the Stoneflair Purestone Sandstone Antique Glendale Octagon Kit features a stone grouping that fits together much like the lattice pattern of a spider web – one of the lovelier arrangements that occurs in nature.
This attractive layout is complemented nicely by the fine colours and finishing effects on the slabs themselves, which evoke the old stone found in structures that have been standing for centuries. The pieces can be used in conjunction with existing foliage for a rustic overgrown plant effect, or laid out as instructed to provide a foundation for all manner of outdoor activities, from picnics to barbeques.

The Yorkvale Antique Gold Octagon Kit allows you to replicate this effect without having to spend so much, and with none of the hassle and squandering of time associated with ordinary stonework. This kit proves that you don’t need to spend a lot of money or effort to come up with a patio masterpiece.
